Shamrock Painting with Infants

March 13, 2017

This week we are talking about Shamrocks, the colour green, leprechauns and of course St. Patrick’s Day!  In the infant room the children are painting shamrocks with colourful shapes.  This gives the children a change to hear vocabulary such as the different colours and shapes that they are using.  Some may try repeating the words which increases their cognitive learning and speaking ability too!

This activity is also great for hand and eye coordination as well as allowing the children to feel different textures such as the wet paint or the paper being used.  At Tiny Hoppers we promote all children to take part in crafts every day, even the youngest infants in our care!  IMG_4189IMG_4190
