Nature Exploration

Our Tiny Tykes have been very busy exploring new and interesting ways to Play and Learn using wooden disks.

They have been enhancing their Physical Development by Increasing Levels of Activity, Endurance, and Variation in types of Activities and Skills by using open-ended materials to move about, build and construct towers, seats, obstacle courses and so much more.

Tiny Tykes have been demonstrating their Communication, language and literacy Skills using Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication by describing connections between different objects, events and experiences. They have also been learning how to describe similarities and cause and effect in recurring events when the wooden disks would tumble over when they were stacked too high, or that it was easier to jump over one disk but hard to jump over three disks.

They have also been developing their Cognitive Development as they were learning to Reflect and Reach Conclusions by describing connections between different objects.  They practiced making generalizations about different objects, events and experiences.
