A look into STEM learning at Tiny Hoppers River Valley with Tiny Tykes 2. Our Tykes were exploring with all four STEM skills how to plant and garden. Our future scientists learned how to plant and studied the growth patterns while feeling the different textures of the leaves when they grew. They also learned how the weather affects the growth of the plant. Our future contractors discussed the different types of tools that can be used to help them plant and types of machines that can help to farm larger gardens. Our future engineers looked at the design and location of where to plant in their garden. They explored the space, sunlight, soil and water needed to help their plants grow. Lastly, our Tykes looked at different types of plants and how each one needs different amounts of soil, sun and water making for a great math exercise in adding and substracting what they will need to have a successful plant in their garden!
With STEM we encourage our children to learn and explore many possibilities as they thrive in their learning with us at Tiny Hoppers River Valley and expand their curiosity!
