The preschoolers discovered how to make a snowstorm in a jar today! They used baby oil, water mixed with white paint, rose gold glitter and alka-seltzer tablets! When we first poured the water/white paint mixture into the oil, it didn’t mix and made bubbles at the bottom of the jar! The children were absolutely mesmerized! We then added glitter! When we added the alka-seltzer tablet, it began to fizz! The fizz caused the bubbles of water/white paint to rise to the top of the jar and then fall back to the bottom again, creating a never-ending snowstorm in a jar!
