Preschool Pumpkin Exploration

October 20, 2020

Yesterday, our preschoolers learned about the various parts of a pumpkin: the stem, the vine, the rind, the pulp and the seeds!

A toy microscope was brought in and passed around the circle so that children could explore the pulp and seeds in a new way!  The children were so engrossed!

Afterward, the children were given small tongs to pick at and explore the sections of the pumpkin!

This kept them busy for most of the morning!  The children learned new vocabulary and talked about carving pumpkins for Halloween!
