Our preschool children are very into the backyard looking at birds, small animals and bugs so last week they made bird feeders to hang up in the backyard! The children were able to put the honey on the toilet roll all by themselves and using their fine motor grasp to hold the butter knife. Each child was able to make their own bird feeder and then add the plain cheerios for perfection! The preschoolers then helped the teachers hang them up in our backyard either on the fence or on the top of the gazebo! We hope that the birds enjoyed! 🙂
