JK SK Day Care

  • During a regular Hopper day, the children are lead through a routine including daily passwords, morning messages, sign in centres, circle time learning bins, and attendance cards. Literacy is taught through a variety of carefully chosen games, songs, and activities that provide children with an active and fun learning experience. All of our educational centres are carefully planned to provide children with an exciting hand-on learning experience that touch on activities in all areas of learning including math, science, literacy, technology and the arts.

The Program is an interactive and fun program with carefully planned activities and educational equipment to aid in the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of young children. Through music and movement, children are guided through daily routines and transitions. Children will be engaged ineducational games and activities including parachute play, dramatic play, songs, stories, rythmic dancing, ball play, instrument play and bubble time. Children will learn the social and cognitive skills necessary for their success in future preschool and kindergarten programs while advancing their physical skills with our wide array of gross motor equipment. Learning can be fun and at Tiny Hoppers we have mastered how to teach children effectively through music and play!

Hopper teachers must attend a yearly training course that is designed to teach them how most effectively to teach literacy to young children and how to best promote literacy in their classrooms. Our curriculum is theme based which helps us to focus our learning activities on themes and activities that the children find most interesting. Although the Tiny Hoppers’ curriculum is carefully laid out in detail, teachers are encouraged to enhance their program with additional activities based on the individual needs and interests of the children in their group. These new activities and ideas are then shared with all Hopper staff, across the city, through a private teacher Blog which is a resource that our teachers use to come up with new and exciting ideas for their classrooms. At Hoppers we work as a team to make sure that we provide the most exciting, energetic, and fun learning environment for your child.
